Add a 2-to-4 in the left side of plywood square so the left edges line up evenly. The2-by-4 will add stability and strength to the bean bag ottoman, and will face the inside of the cube. Place the foam on top of the cube. Cut a 32-inch square piece of upholstery fabric and center of the foam of the cube. Then use a staple gun to staple the ends of the fabric to the wooden cube, closely over the fabric. With the remaining fabric, cutting a rectangle of 65- to 17-inches. Sew two short ends of the rectangle perpendicular to each other, using a half-inch seam.

Hold the fabric rectangle you just sewed right sides together. And then slip it over the top of the ottoman as 1/2 inch of cloth covering the upper edge ottoman. The seam sewn should be one of the cube corners. Use a staple gun to staple the large rectangle of fabric around the top of the ottoman. Stand ottoman so it’s open area on the floor, and pull the fabric you just stapled down so it covers the staples and the rest of the cube. Ottoman facing up and down and staple remaining 1/2-inch of cloth on the underside of the bean bag ottoman as staples out of sight.
