We’ve come to the end of Chapter 1.
Is it okay to say that I’m a little stunned that I got this far? That’s probably not something you want to hear, being the sort of readers who like to feel that the author they’re reading is confident in his own work. Confident in my story, yes. But confident in my ability to sit down and generate page after page after page of art? I’ve discovered all kinds of stick-to-it-iveness burbling around inside of me.
So what did you think of this chapter? It, and the prologue, have been a long exercise in buildup for what’s coming next, I must confess. Chapter 2 is a binary tale, taking Eleanor’s comatose dream and Agnes’s dark dreamworld and smashing them together in a moment of…
Alright, perhaps I’m saying a bit much. I’m very excited to share the new chapter with you. I’m actually so excited to share it with you that, if you’re like me and you can’t wait, you can read Chapter 2 in its entirety right now on Graphicly. (And it comes with bonus content, too.)
I am many people right now. I’m a devoted husband, a new and excited father, a busy creative director. I find time to work on Eleanor at two o’clock in the morning, or early on weekends, before my wife and daughter wake up. But while I’m very busy, I’m also very impatient, and that’s sort of my marketing strategy for my little book. While I’ll continue to share a new page every week here on the web site, as I complete chapters I’ll be making them available on Graphicly — and very soon in the iBooks, Kindle, Nook, Kobo and Google Books marketplaces, and on Facebook, too. So if you’re not the sort of reader who can wait patiently for a new page to dribble out every seven days, you can always jump ahead and read the whole thing.
Thank you, as always, for taking the time to read my little book. I hope you’ve enjoyed it so far!
