Officially, this is where things start getting weird. We’ve only just met Agnes and Paul, but as I mentioned before, one of them carries a secret that will change the Witt family forever. At the time that wasn’t exactly true. One of them would carry a secret that would change the family forever, that’s what I should have said.
Well, here’s your first look at what that secret might turn out to be, and which one of them holds it inside.
The cloud cover that rolls in over this part of our story just might never go away. (Though that’s probably because while I wrote the novel, the storm scenes were my favorite ones to write, and went on forever.)
It’s been a productive couple of weeks here on the Eleanor front. Chapter 1 is officially finished. If you’ve been joining the livestreams, then chances are you’ve gotten an early look at where the next 18 pages will take Paul and Agnes. A few of you even know now how the chapter will end. (Keep it to yourselves.)
At the same time I’ve been sewing up the end of this chapter, I’ve been working hard on illustrating the next. Here’s a sneak peek at the first few pages of Chapter 2:
Thanks for coming back each week to read my little graphic novel. I hope you’re enjoying the adventure, and that you’ll share it with your friends!

Man… you have got to stop using such big images. It takes way too long to load. Shrink the page by at least 50% next time. Other than how much it’s straining my modem, people can just print these and sell them as their own – you wouldn’t want that (not me! I’m just saying…).
In other news – that storm sure does looking menacing! I understand that things are getting dark again, huh? I figured it had to eventually.
Ah, but big images look so pretty. And I fully encourage anybody who wants to print the pages for their own personal use to do so.
Dark’s the name of the game for a little while. Wouldn’t be so interesting if it wasn’t. :D
I like the big pages. The detail is wonderful. I just wish there were more to look at. *is impatient*
But then again, at least your update schedule seems to have been consistent. That’s much appreciated.
Haha. It’s hard not to just post every single page I’ve created. I’m really excited to share some of the later pages from this chapter — I’m very pleased with how the illustration has improved, and the story is just so hard not to talk about!
I’ve tried to be consistent, so thanks for noticing. I definitely enjoyed sharing two pages per week instead of one, but if I kept that up I’d run out of pages before the baby arrives, and I’d leave you all twiddling your thumbs for a couple of months. Don’t want that!
