You know, until I finished this page, I didn’t really think I was doing much more than experimenting. I fully expected to put the pencil down, close Photoshop, and go back to writing Eleanor’s story as a novel. I’d always seen her story that way: a thick book full of pretty words.
But there was something just a little magical about this page — and I don’t just mean the lens flare. (Although it’s pretty magical.)
More than that, this is the page that made me realize I could totally do this. So why would I stop?
So I didn’t.
But her toes are wonky. It’s nice to have little reminders that you’re just kind of winging it as you go. Wonky toes are good for keeping your head on straight.
